Sausage sarnies

We went out to the New Theatre to watch Goodnight Mister Tom (which was fabulous – particular credit to puppeteer Laura Cubitt (Sam the dog) and Oliver Ford Davies (Mister Tom) as well as the stagecraft crew who did wonders with set design and props). Presumably the relatively early showing is due to the high number of children in the cast, so we rushed home to feed the cat and ourselves and get back out to the theatre.

We had sausage sarnies for tea, and they were just right; toasted wholemeal bread, caramelised red onion and pork sausages, butter and ketchup with freshly cracked black pepper. Good pub grub, at home.
