Beef stew with wild rice and tenderstem broccoli

Tonight’s meal was pretty simple: I defrosted the Italian beef stew from last month in the oven and served it with wild rice and tenderstem broccoli.

It’s a good meal – the rice is wonderfully nutty, but the broccoli could have been a touch less al dente and the stew doesn’t really knock your socks off. I’m quite looking forward to trying this with cous cous and sprinkling some chili into the stew as it cooks for extra zing.
