Penne, petits pois and bacon

It’s time for something less adventurous after a long day at work, and I found a simple BBC Good Food recipe for tonight.

It was easy and I always have all of these ingredients in the house, so I was disappointed that it was so dry; I even went back to check the instructions didn’t mention reserving cooking water or adding any liquid content.

H and I added some of the leftover chili pesto to add some viscosity, but it’s so fiery that you can’t add much.

I might try this again with crème fraiche.
