Chicken, chickpea and broccoli pilau

This is the first pilau I’ve ever made, and it’s from a BBC Good Food recipe. It’s very simple and do-able on a budget. I’m quite pleased with the result, although H and I agree that it was a little bland. I’d like to do this again with the addition of some fresh red chili and a tablespoon of lemon juice as well as the zest, just to give it a bit more punch.
